Created, Equipped and Designed to Lead

Created, Equipped and Designed to Lead

I have often seen people get discouraged with life, as a matter of fact, some of them describe life as meaningless!

In today’s post, I want to share my thoughts with you on leadership. While some people see leadership as positional, I believe there is a deeper meaning to it.

John C. Maxwell defines leadership as influence and I totally agree with this submission.

But first, in order to be an exceptional leader, there are some fundamentals you need to understand.

The bible tells us in the book of Genesis 1:26-28 that God gave man the mandate to have dominion over all things. This is the beginning of leadership concept.

In essence, man’s quest for a fulfilled, happy and abundant life is hinged on his leadership ability. Safe to say therefore that man was created, equipped and designed to lead. Leadership capability is imbedded in man.

Man’s first leadership test is found in his ability to lead himself. Leading oneself entails, that you become exceptional at living an excellent life.

The results or outcome of your life is the catch that inspire people to be attracted to you – this is where influence is coined from.

Taking it further, you must also realize that an exceptional leader seeks to add value to others. They do this by making other people’s life better, helping them become a better version of themselves and delivering the future they seek.

Exceptional leaders see possibilities where others see problems. John Maxwell captures it this way, “a leader knows the way, goes the way and shows the way.

He says again, “everything rises and falls on leadership”

Exceptional leaders are driven by a life of impact, influence and significance. (Those are the pillars that lead to fulfillment, happiness and abundance)

In conclusion, I want you to become aware of your leadership capability, you were created, equipped and designed to lead.

You were called to be an exceptional leader.

Success is not Money!

Success is not Money!

I have said it unapologetically in virtually all my speaking engagements, that success is not money!

So many people have erroneously equated success to mean money, perhaps this explains why there is too much atrocity in the society today.

If not, how would you explain the current spade of stealing, covetousness, embezzlement, disrespect forĀ  human life, abuse, rape, child trafficking, women molestation, gross disrespect for constituted authorities, the list is endless.

You will be surprised to discover that people engage in those acts, in the name of money and success in general.

But, come to think of it, what is success?

I define success as the state of achieving one’s goals in alignment with one’s purpose.

The meaning of your existence is found in your purpose. This purpose is the reason you where created and dispatched to this earth. Save to say therefore, that your fulfillment, happiness and abundance (true success) is imbedded in your purpose.

I have seen people who have all the money in the world, yet success (fulfillment, happiness and abundance) elude them! As a matter of fact, many of them have said on their dying bed, “if given another chance, they will live a purpose driven life”

If money where success, many of the world’s richest men wouldn’t have died, because their money would have saved them.

Now consider the lives of the many famous men in the world (living and dead), how many of them is remembered for the amount of money they amassed?

Success is not money!

If you ask me, money is a by-product of living a life of purpose.

Nobody makes money by pursuing money, rather when you discover and live in purpose, money and its associates will naturally gravitate towards you.

The Bible says it all in Mat 6:33 “Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you”

Money, houses, cars, etc. are by-products of purpose. Inside your purpose lies natural ability, talents, gifts, passion, skill, interest, etc. These are the vehicle to reaching and fulfilling your potential (fulfillment, happiness and abundance).

I hope this blog post will help you understand the concept of true success
